GCSE Tuition That Matches Your Exam Board

GCSE exams are linear — every mark across the two years of study counts. Our GCSE programme covers the full specification from the start, ensuring students build the knowledge needed to perform in final exams rather than relying on memorisation in the weeks before.

We offer tuition in Maths, English Language, Combined Science, Computer Science (AQA), and private tuition in all other subjects. For students resitting or sitting as private candidates, we also operate a JCQ-approved exam centre where you can sit actual GCSE or A Level papers.

  • Reformed 9–1 grading — linear exams, no modules
  • AQA, Edexcel, OCR, and Cambridge International boards covered
  • Online and in-centre options available
  • No fixed contracts — join and leave at any point

What Sets Us Apart

Max 6 Per Class

GCSE classes are kept small — every student gets individual attention, targeted feedback, and the ability to ask questions freely.

Board-Specific Tuition

We teach to the exact specification and style of your child's exam board — not a generic GCSE course that covers nothing in depth.

Free Initial Assessment

Every student starts with a diagnostic assessment so we can identify gaps from the outset and build a plan that targets what matters most.

No Fixed Contracts

Join at any point in the year. No long-term commitments — pay term by term and cancel at any time.

JCQ-Approved Exam Centre

Private candidates can sit actual GCSE and A Level exams at our Ilford centre — register directly through us.

Online or In-Centre

The same quality tuition delivered live online or in our Ilford centre — choose what works for your family.

How We Get Results at GCSE

1

Diagnostic Assessment First

Every student sits a diagnostic before joining. We identify which topics are secure and which need work — so the teaching is targeted from day one, not generic.

2

Specification-Led Teaching

We teach the exact content required for your child's exam board. No wasted time on content that won't appear in their paper — just the knowledge and skills that will.

3

Past Papers Throughout

From the start of the programme, students practise exam-style questions and past papers. Mark schemes are reviewed in class so students understand exactly what examiners are looking for.

4

Regular Progress Reporting

Parents receive written progress updates throughout the year. Tutors are available to discuss your child's progress directly — we keep you fully informed at every stage.

What Parents Say

Hear from families who have been through our GCSE programme.

"My daughter joined Ark in Year 10 after struggling with Maths at school. Within two terms her confidence had completely changed. She went from a predicted 4 to achieving a 7 in her final exam. The tutors are exceptional — patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in the students."

A
Anjali SharmaParent · Daughter achieved Grade 7 in GCSE Maths

"We were worried about starting in Year 11 but the team at Ark assessed my son immediately and got straight to the topics that mattered. Small class size means he actually gets to ask questions — something he never felt comfortable doing in school."

S
Sara AhmedParent · Son joined GCSE programme in Year 11

"The three-subject package was excellent value and meant my daughter was covered for her core subjects without worrying about finding multiple tutors. The progress reports kept us updated throughout the year. Very well organised."

L
Liyana PatelParent · Daughter enrolled on three-subject GCSE programme

"My son was a private candidate and we used Ark both for tuition and to sit his exams. The whole process was smooth from start to finish. Having everything under one roof made a really stressful situation much more manageable."
