A
Anjali SharmaParent · Daughter improved from Grade 4 to Grade 7

"My son was retaking his GCSE English and needed flexible support around his college schedule. Ark online was perfect — the sessions fit around him and the tutor completely turned his writing around. He passed with a Grade 5."

Sara PatelParent · Son passed GCSE English retake

"The screen sharing during sessions is brilliant — the tutor actually walks through past paper answers on screen, which is so much more effective than just explaining it verbally. My daughter finally understood how to structure her Science answers."

"We started GCSE Maths online in Year 10 and it was the best decision we made. By the time the exams came in Year 11 my son was confident, well-practised, and knew exactly what the examiners were looking for. He achieved a Grade 8."

Common Questions

We support AQA and Edexcel for all GCSE subjects. When you contact us, please let us know your child's exam board and the specific texts or topics being studied so we can tailor sessions from the start.
Yes. We welcome post-16 retake students. Online tuition is particularly well-suited to retake students as the flexible scheduling works around college timetables. Please mention that your child is retaking when you enquire so we can find the most appropriate session times.
Tutors use screen sharing to display past paper questions and walk through model answers in real time. Students can annotate questions on their own screens, and the tutor can highlight mark scheme requirements as they go. This is one of the most effective aspects of our online GCSE delivery — many students find it more engaging than a classroom board.
The best time to start is at the beginning of Year 10, giving your child two full years of preparation. That said, we also work with students who begin in Year 11 or even the months before exams. Contact us to discuss what is achievable given your child's current level and timeline.
